Scientist · Versioned experiments

Know which analytical choices produced the run.

Follow workflow revisions and analytical runs as the research develops. Scientist helps teams distinguish an earlier experiment from the current approach and explain the methodological change behind a new result.

Versioned experiments

Revisit a change to missing-value handling

Review the experiment history for the renewal analysis before revising its missing-value treatment.

Earlier workflow

Account preparation · Exclude incomplete records

Revised workflow

Account preparation · Explicit missing-value category

Run context

Inspect the workflow associated with each analytical run

Connect an experimental run to the workflow choices behind it.

Follow the investigation

A concrete path through the research.

Changing missing-value treatment can change who is represented in a cohort. Comparing two outputs is not enough: the researcher needs to understand which workflow definition belongs to each run.

01

Find the relevant earlier run

Locate the renewal experiment that excluded incomplete records. Inspect the workflow associated with that point in the investigation.

02

Review the changed assumption

Examine the revision that represents missing values as an explicit category. Identify which preparation decision and research population changed.

03

Plan a meaningful comparison

Discuss the outputs with the workflow distinction in view. Check source-data and environment differences before attributing a changed finding to the revised method.

What to examine

Put the analytical choices in view.

The useful output is not just a completed run. It is an analysis whose inputs, assumptions and limits another researcher can question.

01

Workflow reference

The preparation and analytical choices associated with each experiment.

02

Comparison context

What changed in the method, the source material or the selected study scope?

03

Research conclusion

Which interpretation is supported, and which difference still needs a controlled check?

Scientist in the DO Stack

Take the research to the right next owner.

Developer supports engineering work when an exploratory method needs an implementation change. Use the research revision to explain the intended behavior; define the artifact format and review process rather than assuming a native experiment-to-release pipeline.

What should we validate for implementation?

Workflow and run history is not, by itself, a guarantee of exact reproducibility. Validate data snapshots, dependency capture, model versions, environment recording, retention and restore behavior where your study requires them.

What should the team bring to a first discussion?

Bring one research question, its source requirements, a relevant workflow and the review criteria. Confirm available capabilities, access and operating requirements before using sensitive material or applying a finding operationally.

Start with a question worth investigating.

Bring the question, the available data and the people who understand it. We’ll work through the analytical path, the review points and the implementation requirements.
